This push tow combination offers a high-capacity, large-volume barge that enables transport of large oversized items.

In 2015, the RIO 2 tugboat was modernised with support from the EU-co-financed Transport Operational Programme.

  • fitted with an auxiliary steering unit
  • low-emission propulsion unit on the main engine
  • equipped with AIS transponders (allowing vessel tracking on the global river and maritime system at www.marinentraffic.com)
  • equipped with clinometers (draft inclinometers) to help the crew and port cranes during fast loading of bulk substrates
